designing with ambition, sustainability &
human value in mind.
LESS STUFF, MORE MEANING
The principles of change and building a better future need us to begin emphasizing sustainability in the now, making use of what we already have, and taking action where we can. As a designer, shifting to sustainable methods, pursuing industry reform, and being an advocate for people & the environment, reflects in my work.
DESIGNING FOR INTRICATE HUMAN NEEDS
I truly believe in emphasizing human-centered design through innovation. It's important for me to always keep the user/customer at the center of the process and create designs that solve intricate human problems. Fundamentally, designing for humanity calls for a framework that is more extensive than our current ones, and that is where I hope to make a positive difference.
ENTHUSED WITH A PURPOSE
Understanding the 'why' that I’m solving for and looking at the bigger picture is what motivates me. The main goal of designing for me isn’t always catering to aesthetics but more towards strategizing and having a solution-based approach for practical, creative problem solving.

"The work Harleen has done around an inclusive innovation design project using Merino Wool had her win the Woolmark performance challenge 2021. I had the opportunity to be part of the judging panel and was impressed with her work ethic and strong will to go above and beyond to deliver great work. After winning the competition she got the opportunity to do a research project with On. Also here, she showed that she has deserved to become part of the sporting goods design/innovation industry and I would recommend working with Harleen without a doubt"
"In her role as researcher Harleen’s main responsibility was the research of microfibre shedding within the textile and apparel industry as well as research of potential of wool in the sportswear industry. She independently researched and executed the research brief and actively tried to link it to the needs of On. She liaised with relevant departments to find answers to her research questions and approached external specialists and companies. She additionally executed a detailed proposal for an apparel concept around wool as a textile fibre and created detailed 3D apparel imaging while keeping in mind circularity needs. Harleen is a hardworking and enthusiastic team member. She was very proactive, has a positive mindset and is eager to learn. Harleen is highly curious and open to any challenge. She socialised with many team members and immersed herself in the experience of working for On."
"Harleen was an absolute pleasure to lecture and to see grow to spread her wings in the industry of Design."
